Always nice to see that foreign journalist standing the wrong Dutch capital when talking about Dutch politics.
The government sits in The Hague.
Shouldn’t the people from France know that fact? Its practically a neighboring country
Fair enough, except for one small detail. The world recognizes Amsterdam immediately as Dutch. A picture from the Hague engenders no such recognition to the wider world and that is the real point.
@@davidmuttillo2806 Come on.. it's a European outlet, they should know better. And it's journalism, not entertainment.

He is not right wing he is not left wing
He is 100% establishment and cares little for the ordinary people
Nowadays everyone who has a different opinion is insulted as “right-wing”. It's the same in Germany.
That's right wing bro

@@tamilvendans4892 why do you even have to bring that up? what part of these elections have anything to do with WW2?
Isn't it the same "Right wing"as in France, Britain, Spain Germany etc or the different branches or else.
Dick Schoof isn't a right winger at all but a former member of the (left of center) Labour Party for 30 years. It's true that he leads a right wing government though but does so as a member of no party.
@@echion-3654 So the right wing definition differs, depending on place, time scale, nationality and else.
@@echion-3654 Very convenient and easy to manipulate the term.
@@alexanderlazarev3570 This isn't the United States Alex. We are talking Europe here, the Netherlands specifically where the centrist are just milquetoast leftists with liberalist sympathies. And even the right wingers here support a lot of left policies but they are still a lot further on the right than the centrists, but in the U.S. they would be seen as left.
@@alexanderlazarev3570 Personally I'm a left wing anarchist but even I wouldn't feel comfortable calling the Dutch labour party right wing. They are just like Labour in a lot of other places like in the U.K. or in Portugal, which makes them centrist.

I laugh not to cry about what's coming for the working class in Europe under these sellouts.
You're not going to like it either.
Greece has learned a lesson about it recently. Their right-wing Government just allowed for a 6-day working week and didn't solve the immigration problem.

The Zelensky Curse continues as it sweeps across EU. It is not a matter of far right or far left but who would deliver for their own population first and not be a EU or US vassal state
Great 👍
A PM that isn’t from any of the 4 parties or an MP and none of the party leaders represented in government. How democratic.
what happened to geert wilders?
With much more diversity, a far more terrible history and many more constraints, it still only took our South African politicians 3 weeks to form a 10 party coalition.
So glad I live in a country blessed with humanitarian values...
Albeit a very rocky road ahead for South Africa. I see a lot of political protests, violence, and politically motivated murders occurring in the future.
I'm also feeling very grateful that I live in South Africa. We are pulling together with our GNU government. The rand is strengthening, petrol price decreasing, and the new Free State Premier already doing surprise visits on state health facilities. This is all good news for our beautiful country.
So the Dutch people don’t get to decide who’s going to be their leader?????
We never do, never even heard of him before to be honest
No, bro, we're a monarch not democratic 😂. I love to be a monarchist!
That is correct, no one had ever heard of this guy, let alone vote for him
Lol, do they all go back inside the black Van and wait in there for another celebration?
Finally. What took so long?
The title is suggestive and *completely wrong.* Schoof was *never* part of the populist wing. As a matter of fact, he was affiliated with the Socialist Party (PvdA) at one time.
Social Democratic party* Socialist Party is the SP.
did you hear that people?
The changes they want to make to secure they own country cant be done unless brussels agrees...
Basically each EU country has lost their own sovereignty to brussels.
The EU was created as an economic union but somehow they took the sovereignty.

Europe has WOKEN up
He says he is not right wing but neutral, article header is lting
BS. He was first left than seen the truth and became middle .
Schoofs was from the left wing PVDA.
But he was also spy chief of the AIVD.
So he wil have a good eye on the problems who we Dutch invited in the Netherlands over the years.
So i think he wil chose a no nonsence policy with those problems from outside the EU
They do just fine...

Nice, just like in a Tom Clancy´s novel
Whoever it is, Holland will always be complicit with IDF, while the US is their leader.... Nothing new 😂
It's not about skeletons in the closet. It's common sense , and naming things for what they are.
What a misleading title, he was for 30 years with the left leaning labour party (until a couple of years ago) and he was not a "former spy". He was the head of the Dutch intelligence and safety bureau.
'Replacement theory/rethoric?' How about some of you folks in the Media take these trouble maker's into your houses for a short spell? 😂

This lady needs to go back to school to learn what democracy actually means. It means among other things that people have voted for candidates that they feel will represent them. But of course the left never ever accepts that. They're are always right, which gives them the right to call people all sorts of names like right wing extremists and so on. Self righteous is indeed a great place to live in. And when Geert Wilders couldn't work with the other party it wasn't because he wasn't flexible enough, no, it was because he wouldn't forsake the principles on which people voted for him.
